Blessing of the New Art Room
This is a very important celebration for St Josephs and we hope
parents will support the event, Bishop Patrick Lynch will be
presiding over the service on the 16th October between 5pm 7pm.
Parents will be able to look at resources and childrens art work
displayed in certain classrooms. This is an opportunity for parents
to meet with Governors and staff. Cheese and wine will be provided.
Year 6 have been invited to the evening to take on the role of
ambassadors for the school. Full school uniform will be required.
Please make every effort to join in this important celebration. A
tear off slip is attached below, please indicate if you are able to
attend.
Love In a Box
This year the school is taking part in the fundraising event for
disadvantaged children in the world. A Love in a Box leaflet is
attached. Please note that the donation needed in order to send your
shoe box overseas is £1.50 (per shoe box). Please put your donation
in the pre printed envelope supplied with the leaflets. We urge all
families to take part in this exciting Christmas appeal. Boxes need
to be back at school by 1st November. Thank you in advance for your
support.

Change of Address
Please can parents notify the office of any change of address at
the earliest opportunity.
School Fund
Thank you to those parents who have already paid the school fund. If
you still need to pay, please send your £10 school fund contribution
as soon as possible. We rely on parents to send this amount in at
the beginning of the Autumn term. The money collected is for the
extra expenses the school has to incur during the year, this
includes end of term treats, discos and subsidy for outings etc.
Junior Backpacks
Our supplier of backpacks is unable to source them anymore. We are
currently trying to identify a new product and will let you know as
soon as one is available. We still have the draw string type of bag
which is available from the office.
